How BloodDroid was born?

Eight enthusiastic Android developers within the Google sponsored Google Developer Challenge Scholarship have chosen to build something useful for the community. The idea was followed by actions, and BloodDroid application, which supports blood donations, and can be used on Android operating systems, was completed within a short time.

What is BloodDroid for?

Based on user preferences the app sorts the closest blood donation centers and sends notification to the user if there is an active blood donation at those centers. Data come from the Hungarian National Blood Transfusion Service. App displays the next potential blood donation day for the user - based on the registered user data and blood donation dates.

Who developed the app?

Participants of the Google/Udacity scholarship: Mónika Csontos, Karolin Fornet, Viktória Schmideg, Petra Lehoczky, Melinda Kostenszki, Dániel Vokó, Miklós Mayer, Bence Kónya

Let's see how it works!

An image tells thousands more than a word, so we introduce the basic functions of the BloodDroid app in pictures.
